Hi,
I was reading your review on the confectional cheesecakes. I have veiwed the site and to be honest would love to try them, unfortunately I live in the UK and they dont ship here at the moment.
I read that you were going to try and bake some yourself, my question is did you ever get around to it an ddo you have a recipe i could try here myself.
I know it wont be the same as the real thing, but would love to try it out.
many thanks
Karen

Hi Karen! Unfortunately I never got around to doing it, I’m sorry. I think you should e-mail them, they may very well share their recipe with you. Good luck!
Hi! I happened across your blog while searching for Bermudian recipes. I’m cooking my way around the world, too, you can visit my blog at http://lifeinanarv.blogspot.com. Since I started my project, I have found a group of us doing the same thing, each one of us with a different twist. My friend, Sarah’s site is http://whatscookinginyourworld.blogspot.com. She is well into the S countries. My take is a bit different, I cook all of my meals in my 21-foot fifth wheel, my readers choose what country they want to see from week to week and I make a meal for 4 people on a budget of $20 or less per week. I am really excited to find you! Please stop by and send me a friend request on Facebook, if you’re on there…I would love to chat with you!! I’m going to use your Bermudian recipes next week with a link back to you, of course, if that’s ok. Take care!!

Commenting on your Italian restaurant, San Leandro, post, I wrote: Well, being born in San Fran (though they’ve torn down Letterman General Hospital now) I’ve loved the San Leandro area for years. Nowhere quite like San Francisco, Mendocino, Napa-Sonoma…
Unless you want great Italian food in the Bangkok area, and that’s a LONG way from SF and the Bay area, but Bangkok is almost as cosmopolitan as SF, and has some Italian cuisine that’s world-class…
I left my heart in San Francisco, high on a hill she waits for me, but my stomach leads to a place that feeds me, by the Bay of Thailand…” but wasn’t registered.
So that refusal of your blog to accept my comment earlier (followed by a power-outage in our flooded suburb of Bangkok) led me to your excellent post on wines and wine-tasting.
If you’ve been to the wineries around Napa-Sonoma, keep your eye peeled for excellent stained-glass designs, as my father designed and he and Mom fabricated world-class stained glass for most of the wineries in the region… and for the manager of the Doobie Brothers…
But that’s a different story, eh? We can’t sip the colored windows, but surely we can enjoy them while tasting a chilled, fragrant white wine…
Thanks for the warning about the scammers targeting restaurant owners. It perhaps has only reached Australia now, several years after your initial warning, LOL! I was suspicious but intrigued on reading the email so searched the net for Goldsmiths located in Lancashire and hence found your timely warning. The email is shorter than the original and Jill has changed her email address to a MSN one, but nether the less still sent by the ill-reputed gold-digging Goldsmiths from Lancashire! Here’s a copy:

My husband just got the email about booking a table for 5 days. Amusing because although he does like to cook occasionally, we are not restaurant owners at all. This time in the US.
I think mr Goldsmith is starting in France to try to book holidays.
