The Gambia is a small country in West Africa bordering the Gambia river. Its food is West African par excellence and I found here many flavors I had explored before. The food is hearty and takes advantage of local ingredients, from fish and poultry to cassava and peanuts.

The dishes I made were:

  • Chicken Yassa
    Chicken cooked in vinegar and lemon juice
  • Domoda
    Beef in peanut sauce
  • Chakery
    Couscous & pineapple with yogurt & sour cream
