Cavolfiore All'uso Di Romagna

Romagna Style Cauliflower

This was a simple recipe, but not very flavorful. Perhaps it needs more garlic.

Romagna Style Cauliflower


  • 1 cauliflower head
  • 2 Tbsp olive oil
  • 1 garlic clove, minced
  • 1 bunch Italian parsley, chopped
  • 1/2 cup tomato sauce
  • 1/2 cup hot water
  • salt to taste


Break cauliflower into individual flowers and wash, but leave wet.

Heat oil in a frying pan over medium-high heat. Add the garlic and parsley and cook for a minute. Add the cauliflower and cook until all the oil is absorbed. Meanwhile, combine the tomato sauce with the water. Add the diluted sauce to the cauliflower, salt to taste and turn heat to low. Cook until tender, stirring occasionally, around 30 minutes.
