A Caveat

Pizza Pazza is a small pizza restaurant on Piedmont Avenue in Oakland. It's only a few steps away from Piedmont Springs, which makes it a great place to stop for a bite before or after a relaxing dip in the hot tub. It serves pizza by the pie and the slice, and the cool thing about it is that they will prepare your slice when you order it and then cook it, so it's fresh and out of the oven. It also means that you can have a slice any way you want it.

The two times I've been there I've had the goat cheese and walnut pizza and it's excellent. The crust is a bit too crispy for my taste, but the sourness of the cheese and the crunch of the walnuts complement each other perfectly. Mike had the pepperoni pizza once and though he liked it, he liked mine better

Pizza Pazza uses organic flour to make its pizza dough and very high quality ingredients, yet the slices are very cheap (I think they average $3 or so, sodas are $1). The restaurant itself has a few tables in front of the open pizza kitchen, and another darkish room on the side that has been empty every time we've visited.
