A Burmese Menu

Burmese cuisine has been influenced by its neighbors, and that was evident in the recipes I cooked. While the satay reminded me of Southeast Asia, the golden rice was reminiscent of Chinese cuisine. I don't know to what degree the food I cooked is representative of the cuisine, it was certainly different from what I've eaten at Burmese restaurants, but good in its own, peasanty right. Rather than serving the menu all at once, I had it in subsequent evenings. Was I to serve it as one menu, I'd use chicken rather than beef for the satay and add a salad.

Related cuisines I've explored so far: A'chik Mande, Kachin.
