Stained Glass Cake


  • 4 3-oz packages jell-o (sweetened flavor gelatin)
  • 6 cups boiling water, separated
  • 1/2 oz unflavored gelatin (2 packets)
  • 1 14-oz can condensed milk


In separate bowls, mix each package of flavored jello with I cup of boiling water. Mix well, then pour into an 8"x8" pyrex pan and let cool in the refrigerator until solid. Cut jell-o into small cubes. Place jello cubes in alternating, somewhat random, multi-layer fashion in a 9"x13" pyrex pan. Set aside

Mix the unflavored gelatin with the remaining two cups of boling water and stir until it disolves. Mix in the condensed milk. Allow the mixture to cool but not harden. Once it's cool, pour onto the jell-o cubes. Refrigerate until solid.
