The house was a complete mess, so I spent much more time cleaning up than cooking &#8211; but I still wanted to have something yummy to go with the tea (that English breakfast tea I bought at Harrod&#8217;s in the London Airport).  What I served were simple things:<br \/>\n&#8211;<a href=\"http:\/\/www.marga.org\/food\/blog\/2005\/08\/chicken_salad_with_apples_waln.html\">Chicken salad sandwiches<\/a><br \/>\n&#8211;<a href=\"http:\/\/www.marga.org\/food\/blog\/2008\/08\/sugar_cookies.html\">Sugar Cookies<\/a><br \/>\n&#8211;<a href=\"http:\/\/allrecipes.com\/Recipe\/Simple-Scones\/Detail.aspx?prop31=2\">Scones<\/a> with butter &#038; strawberry jam.<br \/>\nThe only new recipe was that for the scones, and they were fairly easy to make and quite good.   IT wasn&#8217;t the definitive recipe for scones, however, which is why I did not copy it here.<br \/>\nI&#8217;ve been looking for tea cups at <a href=\"http:\/\/www.thrifttown.com\/\">Thrift Town<\/a>, a great thrift store, and I&#8217;ve bought three so far.
