We get together every month for tea, sometimes at someone&#8217;s house, and sometimes at a <a href=\"http:\/\/www.marga.org\/food\/rest\/tea.html\">tea house<\/a>.  It&#8217;s a way to  keep in touch while enjoying a tradition we all grew up with in our different countries.<br \/>\nThis time I prepared a simpler menu than usual:<\/p>\n<li>Cucumber and butter sandwiches\n<li><a href=\"http:\/\/coffeetea.about.com\/od\/sandwiches\/r\/watercress.htm\">Watercress sandwiches<\/a> (I wasn&#8217;t crazy about these)\n<li><a href=\"http:\/\/www.marga.org\/food\/blog\/2005\/08\/chicken_salad_with_apples_waln.html\">Chicken salad sandwiches<\/a>\n<li><a href=\"http:\/\/www.marga.org\/food\/int\/acadia\/oatmeal.html\">Oatmeal cake<\/a>\n<li><a href=\"http:\/\/www.marga.org\/food\/int\/acadia\/pound.html\">Pound cake<\/a> with fresh strawberries (picked the day before) and cream<br \/>\nLotty brought a salad and cookies, and Vienna, Frank and Regina brought cookies and biscotti as well.<br \/>\nLater they measured my kitchen, to start the process of designing a new one.<br \/>\nMichaela stayed for tea with us.  She wanted to, mostly so she could eat the yummy things we had, but she grew bored pretty quickly.  She&#8217;s still only 5.
