{"id":1446,"date":"2014-01-02T03:30:48","date_gmt":"2014-01-01T19:30:48","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.marga.org\/foodblog\/?p=1446"},"modified":"2014-01-02T03:30:48","modified_gmt":"2014-01-01T19:30:48","slug":"cruisers-cafe-66-williams-az-restaurant-review","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.marga.org\/foodblog\/2014\/01\/cruisers-cafe-66-williams-az-restaurant-review\/","title":{"rendered":"Cruiser&#8217;s Cafe 66 &#8211; Williams, AZ, Restaurant Review"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Three things attracted us to<a href=\"http:\/\/www.cruisers66.com\/\"> Cruiser&#8217;s Cafe 66<\/a>, conveniently situated in Williams, in the way to the Grand Canyon: they had a singer playing music we like (folk music &amp; soft rock), they had a nice patio for outdoor dining and we found a parking space nearby.<\/p>\n<p>For lunch my husband and I split a rack of pork ribs ($20) and my daughter had the kid&#8217;s mac &amp; cheese ($7 or $8, I believe). \u00a0She was happy with hers and ate the whole thing. \u00a0She must be going through a growth spur, because she then had several ribs as well.<\/p>\n<p>Fortunately, neither my husband nor I are in need of extra calories, so the remaining ribs were enough for us. \u00a0Unfortunately, they weren&#8217;t that great. \u00a0The first thing that greeted you into the restaurant, even before the music, was the smoke from the grill &#8211; but none of it seemed to have permeated into the ribs, which tasted parboiled. \u00a0The BBQ sauce was just generic.<\/p>\n<p>Service was quite good, our waiter was pretty attentive (<a href=\"http:\/\/www.yelp.com\/biz\/cruisers-cafe-66-williams\">Yelp reviews<\/a> contained complaints of bad service). \u00a0Alas, we usually get good service even at restaurants when others don&#8217;t. \u00a0Perhaps we aren&#8217;t so picky, or perhaps we just look like bigger tippers.<\/p>\n<p>In all, Crusier&#8217;s Cafe 66 is still a good place to stop for the atmosphere, just don&#8217;t order the ribs.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Cruiser&#8217;s Cafe 66<\/strong><br \/>\n233 W Rte 66<br \/>\nWilliams, AZ<br \/>\n(928) 635-2445<br \/>\n<a href=\"http:\/\/cruisers66.com\">cruisers66.com<\/a><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.marga.org\/food\/rest\/other\/\">Marga&#8217;s Restaurant Reviews: Beyond the Bay Area<\/a><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Three things attracted us to Cruiser&#8217;s Cafe 66, conveniently situated in Williams, in the way to the Grand Canyon: they had a singer playing music we like (folk music &amp; soft rock), they had a nice patio for outdoor dining and we found a parking space nearby.
