{"id":1432,"date":"2013-12-27T05:11:58","date_gmt":"2013-12-26T21:11:58","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.marga.org\/foodblog\/?p=1432"},"modified":"2013-12-27T05:11:58","modified_gmt":"2013-12-26T21:11:58","slug":"chateau-souverain-estate-bottled-2003-alexander-valley-cabernet-sauvignon","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.marga.org\/foodblog\/2013\/12\/chateau-souverain-estate-bottled-2003-alexander-valley-cabernet-sauvignon\/","title":{"rendered":"Chateau Souverain Estate Bottled 2003 Alexander Valley Cabernet Sauvignon"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignleft size-medium wp-image-1433\" alt=\"Chateau Souverain Estate Bottled 2003 Alexander Valley Cabernet Sauvignon\" src=\"https:\/\/www.marga.org\/foodblog\/wp-content\/uploads\/souv03cab-105x300.jpg\" width=\"105\" height=\"300\" \/>Last night, for our <a href=\"https:\/\/www.marga.org\/foodblog\/2013\/12\/xmas-eve-menu-2013-back-to-the-past-with-an-international-flavor\/\">Xmas Eve dinner<\/a>, we cracked opened a bottle of <strong><a href=\"http:\/\/www.souverain.com\/\">Chateau Souverain<\/a> Estate Bottled 2003 Alexander Valley Cabernet Sauvignon<\/strong>.\u00a0 We had <a href=\"https:\/\/www.marga.org\/foodblog\/2008\/07\/wine-tasting-in-healdsburg\/\">bought the bottle at the winery&#8217;s tasting room<\/a> back in 2008 for $25, and it&#8217;d been kept in my bedroom dresser drawer since.\u00a0 I had been so busy preparing dinner that I hadn&#8217;t had the opportunity to chose a wine to serve with it, and this one was the first one I could reach.\u00a0 It proved a good choice.<\/p>\n<p>I liked the wine quite a bit.
