{"id":1404,"date":"2013-11-20T01:29:11","date_gmt":"2013-11-19T17:29:11","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.marga.org\/foodblog\/?p=1404"},"modified":"2024-06-04T07:05:14","modified_gmt":"2024-06-03T23:05:14","slug":"as-cafe-san-leandro-breakfast-review","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.marga.org\/foodblog\/2013\/11\/as-cafe-san-leandro-breakfast-review\/","title":{"rendered":"A&#8217;s Cafe &#8211; San Leandro &#8211; Breakfast Review"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>UPDATE: THIS RESTAURANT HAS CLOSED<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n<p>A&#8217;s Cafe opened where Blossom and several other Chinese restaurants used to be.\u00a0 It&#8217;s still a Chinese restaurant for lunch (I think it&#8217;s closed for dinner), but they now serve American breakfast.\u00a0 That&#8217;s what we went for a few weeks ago.\u00a0 My family left satisfied, I was less than impressed.<\/p>\n<p>Let&#8217;s be honest here, if what you want is plain breakfast food &#8211; plain pancakes, omelets or eggs, and hashbrowns, A&#8217;s Cafe won&#8217;t disappoint.\u00a0 They do the basics well but that&#8217;s all they do, the basics.<\/p>\n<p>If you want something more in your pancakes &#8211; some blueberries? chocolate chips? bananas? -, a crepe or some other fancy breakfast concoction, then A&#8217;s Cafe is not for you.<\/p>\n<p>So it&#8217;s not the place for me.<\/p>\n<p>We all had some combination of pancakes, eggs and breakfast meats. They were fine, not exciting.
