The state of Idaho is known for one thing: potatoes. Idaho and potatoes are so identified with each other that it's almost impossible for someone that is not from the state to think of any other food or dish associated with Idaho. It does, however, also produce some other first quality ingredients, chief among them trout, morel mushrooms and huckleberries. It also has some regional specialties not often found elsewhere. Basque croquetas, ice cream potatoes (really) and the Idahoan sandwich (a grilled cheese sandwich that includes meatloaf and mashed potatoes) appear in many lists of favorite Idahoan foods.

For my foray into Idahoan cuisine, I chose to make:

Cuisines from other states: American, Alabamian, Arizonan,Californian, Connecticuter, Delawarean, Floridian, Hawaiian, Idahoan, Illinoisan, Kansan
