The Azores are small islands off Portugal, and as it's often with islands, sea food is prominent in their diets. Alas, I'm not a big seafood eater and I didn't feel inspire by the seafood recipes I found at Ana Taveira's Azores Traditional Recipes, the only source for Azorean food I found online. I had the same problem with dessert - so I ended up only cooking meat entrees.
The first I made was the Alcatra, which was OK but not great. I neglected to write the recipe down around the time I made it, though, so I'm not sure if I made any changes. Just last week I made a chicken dish which was much better.
This will be it for my Azorean cuisine, but I will revisit Portugal when I get to the P's (nope, I don't think I ever will).
