There was a sign on the window of Emil Villa's saying that they are changing ownership. They are being bought by some corporation whose name I can't recall. Stay tune for possible changes in the quality of their product.

Which location are you referring to? The San Leandro store or the Hayward store? Man, the Hayward store needs a major overhaul!

I tried to comment on your review for Bolivian food but it wouldnt let me. SO this is really off topic but as long as you read it.
How dare you say its not inspiring???
I was born in Bolivia and am fluent in Quechua as well as Spanish.
I understand that you are not familiar with the language but wouldnt that just make it more interesting for you??? Its wrong to visit a country and say that about their traditional food.
You act like their going to "spice things up" just for you. You need to appreciate the fact that you atleast got a chance to go there.
Im very offended your comments. I feel insulted. Especially since it seems that the only reason you didnt find it inspiring is because you were so frustrated with yiour self because you neither understand nor had the ability to make the cuisines.
GROW UP

Say it isn't so! We went there partly on your recommendation. (The pie is good, but not as good as the ribs...)
BTW, your local restaurant reviews have been a tremendous help for us since we moved into the area 6 months ago. Thank you!
